Subject: downloading .organ files
Dear Mr. Dyde,
Thank you for inventing Hauptwerk and putting so much energy into it. You must truly love the organ as much as I do. It is the one, true passion of my life.
I was searching for something completely different (what it was slips my mind at the moment) when I happened upon the listing for Hauptwerk. I have recently discovered (during the Advent-Christmass season) the many sounds my computer's MIDI synthesizer can make. I was, of course, disappointed in the paucity of organ-like sounds. Your site gives me hope. Hymns and chorales are my main focus as are liturgical and, especially, the baroque organ literature.
. . .
I would be appreciative of your instructions on downloading .organ files.
Thank you, and Christmass blessings to you.

What more can I say?
Now, in early July of 2004, I am more convinced than ever that Martin Dydes Hauptwerk software and I were meant to align (through the vehicle of the World Wide Web) at the nexus of all of my interest in and studies of computers and computer software and the desire of a man in the very heart of England to simulate as closely as possible in 1s and 0s (the only real language computers understand) the workings of a rather complicated mechanical contraption known as The King of Instruments, the Pipe Organ.
Can you believe I really said that? Well, I talk that way too. Whatever!
I am going to repeat myself: Thank you, Martin Dyde, for inventing Hauptwerk.
Please, anyone who is interested in virtual pipe organs or electronic music making, visit the Hauptwerk website. At present, Martin Dyde is working furiously on Version 2 of the Hauptwerk software. It will surely be a blockbuster as the current published version, 1.23, is both Great and Swell! (Just a little bit of organ humor there.)
